Bevisning gates dose: the evidence grade sets the ceiling, and the dose decides how much of that ceiling the product reaches. Value = inverse of price-per-trial-dose-day. Community = mean sentiment of external reviews. Säkerhet caps applied after weighting.

This score is our editorial judgment, not a scientific standard. We combine published evidence, dose, price, transparency, and consumer signals into one composite: this is our method, not a peer-reviewed clinical rating. A higher score means a product does better on the factors we weight, not that it is medically proven to work.

Question 1

Does the molecule work?

The science behind each active ingredient, independent of which brand sells it.

Genuine benefits for skin and joint tissue at 10 g/day.

1 landmark RCT · US: Dietary supplement · EU: Food supplement

The most-studied supplement in existence; muscle, brain, and mood benefits.

4 landmark RCTs · US: Dietary supplement · EU: Food supplement, health claim authorised (3 g/day)

The single best-supported longevity supplement most people don't take enough of.

9 landmark RCTs · US: Dietary supplement + Rx (Vascepa/Lovaza) · EU: Food supplement, health claims authorised

A vitamin B3 form and direct NAD+ precursor with the strongest Phase 3 RCT evidence on this list, showing a 23% reduction in new non-melanoma skin cancers in a large clinical trial.

1 landmark RCT · US: FDA-recognized vitamin, sold as a dietary supplement under DSHEA; also available in higher-dose prescription/OTC forms for niacin deficiency. · EU: Authorized vitamin form sold as a food supplement, with an established Tolerable Upper Intake Level set by EFSA.

The famous red-wine molecule; longevity claims have outrun the human evidence.

3 landmark RCTs · US: Dietary supplement · EU: Authorised Novel Food (2016/1866)

A well-established mitochondrial cofactor, especially useful on statins.

1 landmark RCT · US: Dietary supplement · EU: Food supplement, no Novel Food status needed

Best-studied 'senolytic' ingredient, though evidence is early.

4 landmark RCTs · US: Dietary supplement · EU: Food supplement (extract-dependent)

Turmeric's active compound; genuinely anti-inflammatory but only in absorbable forms.

4 landmark RCTs · US: GRAS · EU: Food supplement

The 'sunscreen from within' with real skin, eye, and endurance data.

1 landmark RCT · US: Dietary supplement · EU: Food supplement (max 8 mg/day per EFSA)

One of the most common deficiencies; corrects sleep, muscle cramps, and blood pressure.

5 landmark RCTs · US: Dietary supplement · EU: Food supplement, health claims authorised

Question 3

What's the catch?

Säkerhet flags, transparency gaps, dosing concerns, and recurring buyer complaints.

Säkerhet signals
Atrial fibrillation signal — omega-3
A metaanalys of RCTs found that high-dose EPA-dominated omega-3 supplementation (≥1 g/day) was associated with a 25% relative increase in atrial fibrillation risk. Risk appears dose-dependent and higher with pure EPA formulations.
Läs mer
Drug interaction risk — omega-3
High doses (2-15 g/day) may increase bleeding time; caution with anticoagulants/antiplatelet drugs.
Läs mer
Drug interaction risk — resveratrol
Inhibits CYP3A4, CYP2C9, and CYP2D6 at doses ≥1,000 mg/day (activates CYP1A2). Interacts with warfarin (increased anticoagulant effect), tamoxifen, statins (myopathy risk), tacrolimus, and NSAIDs/antiplatelets (bleeding risk).
Läs mer
No public analysintyg
Certificate of Analysis not published
Without a public analysintyg, batch purity and potency cannot be independently verified.
No third-party testing
Independent lab verification not disclosed
The brand does not publish evidence of independent batch testing.
Low transparency
4.0/10 quality transparency
Limited public information about sourcing, testing, or manufacturing.

Important to know
Collagen PeptiderAdding vitamin C boosts collagen synthesis. Cold water dissolves poorly, mix in warm liquid.
CreatineDon't pay extra for 'HCl', 'buffered', or 'Kre-Alkalyn', monohydrate is chemically identical after absorption. Look for Creapure® certification.
Omega-3 (EPA/DHA)Ethyl ester (cheaper) absorbs worse than triglyceride form unless taken with fatty meal. Check third-party oxidation testing (TOTOX <10).
NicotinamideVery high doses (well above 1000 mg/day, e.g. 3g+) have been associated with liver enzyme elevations and, paradoxically, sirtuin inhibition rather than activation; distinct from niacin (nicotinic acid), which causes flushing and has different metabolic effects — the two forms of B3 are not interchangeable.
Resveratrol"Resveratrol" produkter that don't specify trans-isomer content are unmeasurable in practice. Cis-resveratrol is biologically inactive.
CoQ10Cheap CoQ10 powder in capsules has minimal absorption. Look for softgels with oil carrier or ubiquinol form.
QuercetinPlain quercetin dihydrate has poor absorption. Phytosome forms deliver 10 to 20× more into blood.
CurcuminProdukter with just 'turmeric extract' and no branded delivery system are not bioavailable. Ask for the specific bioavailability system.
AstaxanthinSynthetic astaxanthin (from petrochemicals) is not the same stereoisomer as natural. Insist on Haematococcus source.
MagnesiumMagnesium oxide has ~4% absorption and mostly acts as a laxative. Always check the salt form, not just 'magnesium'.

In plain language

Why this scored this way

This ID Formulas Advanced ID scores 5.4, making it among the lowest-scoring produkter we track. It delivers the full 2000mg trial dose of Omega-3 (EPA/DHA) with grade A evidence (strong human trial data). The quality transparency (4.0) is limited by the lack of third-party testing. At $18.00/day it's among the more expensive options in Longevity protocol.

What drives the score up

  • Dose-evidence score of 6.3 shows decent alignment with trial doses.
  • Omega-3 (EPA/DHA) is dosed at the full research level with grade A evidence (strong human trial data).
  • Creatine has grade A evidence and is dosed at 60% of the trial dose.
  • Creatine adds grade A evidence at 60% of the trial dose.

What drags it down

  • Quercetin (50mg is 10% of the 500mg trial dose) is significantly under-dosed.
  • Curcumin (50mg is 5% of the 1000mg trial dose) is significantly under-dosed.
  • Magnesium (56mg is 19% of the 300mg trial dose) is significantly under-dosed.
  • No third-party testing, which caps the quality transparency.
  • Quality transparency of 4.0 is below the site average.

Why you'd choose it

  • You want Omega-3 (EPA/DHA) from a ID Formulas product.

Why you might skip it

  • You want third-party verified purity.
  • You want a product with a publicly available CoA.
  • You need a full trial dose of quercetin (this product under-doses it).
