Bevisning gates dose: the evidence grade sets the ceiling, and the dose decides how much of that ceiling the product reaches. Value = inverse of price-per-trial-dose-day. Community = mean sentiment of external reviews. Säkerhet caps applied after weighting.

This score is our editorial judgment, not a scientific standard. We combine published evidence, dose, price, transparency, and consumer signals into one composite: this is our method, not a peer-reviewed clinical rating. A higher score means a product does better on the factors we weight, not that it is medically proven to work.

Question 1

Does the molecule work?

The science behind each active ingredient, independent of which brand sells it.

The NAD+ precursor with the strongest safety file and EU approval.

2 landmark RCTs · US: GRAS, NDI accepted · EU: Authorised Novel Food (Commission Reg 2020/16)

The famous red-wine molecule; longevity claims have outrun the human evidence.

3 landmark RCTs · US: Dietary supplement · EU: Authorised Novel Food (2016/1866)

Best-studied 'senolytic' ingredient, though evidence is early.

4 landmark RCTs · US: Dietary supplement · EU: Food supplement (extract-dependent)

Highly-hyped senolytic; the strong evidence is in mice, not people.

3 landmark RCTs · US: Dietary supplement · EU: Food supplement
Question 2

Is this bottle good?

The specific product: dose, price, transparency, and what buyers report.

Important to know
NRAlmost all commercial NR uses licensed Niagen® from ChromaDex. If a product doesn't say Niagen, ask why.
Resveratrol"Resveratrol" produkter that don't specify trans-isomer content are unmeasurable in practice. Cis-resveratrol is biologically inactive.
QuercetinPlain quercetin dihydrate has poor absorption. Phytosome forms deliver 10 to 20× more into blood.
FisetinStandard capsules have <5% absorption. Look for liposomal or with piperine.

Redaktionellt notes

300mg of clinically-dosed NIAGEN NR is the real backbone here, matches the standard trial dose, but the resveratrol/quercetin/fisetin add-ons are trace amounts (10mg/5mg/0.4mg) inside 'bioavailability-enhanced' blends without listed amounts, so don't expect meaningful standalone effects from those three.

In plain language

Why this scored this way

This product scores well on transparency and value, but its core weakness is that it markets itself as a multi-pathway stack while functionally being a single-ingredient product. The 300mg of NIAGEN NR is properly dosed and backed by grade B evidence, but resveratrol (10mg), quercetin (5mg), and fisetin (0.4mg) are present at trace amounts far below their trial doses.

What drives the score up

  • NR is dosed at the full 300mg research level, matching the doses used in published human trials.
  • Life Extension is tested by independent lab, and the NR backbone has grade B evidence.
  • Reasonable value at $1.50/day for a branded NR product.

What drags it down

  • Resveratrol at 10mg is 2% of the 500mg trial dose, quercetin at 5mg is 1%, and fisetin at 0.4mg is 0.08% of their respective trial doses. These are garnish, not functional doses.
  • No public analysintyg, despite third-party testing.
  • The 'bioavailability-enhanced blend' label obscures that three of four ingredients are clinically irrelevant at these doses.

Why you'd choose it

  • You want NR (niacinamide riboside) at the trial dose and don't want to buy it separately.
  • You trust the Life Extension brand for quality.

Why you might skip it

  • You're buying it for the resveratrol, quercetin, or fisetin content. You'd need to buy those separately at real doses.
  • You want a public analysintyg to verify the label claims.
