A Nestle Health Science-led clinical study found that 14-day supplementation of nicotinamide riboside (NR) and nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) combined produced changes in metabolic health markers that were not previously described. This is notable because most NAD+ precursor studies have focused on raising blood NAD+ levels or measuring physical performance endpoints. The metabolic pathway changes suggest NAD+ boosters may have effects beyond simple NAD+ elevation. The short 14-day duration limits conclusions about sustained effects.
